About the Department

The Department of Geology, established in 2012, is dedicated to fostering a research- and education-driven technical society aimed at advancing the nation's capacity for understanding, discovering, and sustainably utilizing earth resources. The department emphasizes comprehensive study and assessment of the Earth's four major spheres: the lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and ionosphere. It is supported by a distinguished faculty with expertise across these domains. The department also boasts a state-of-the-art collection of laboratories and geophysical instruments, positioning it among the leading institutions in the country for earth resource exploration. Ultimately, the department seeks to make meaningful contributions toward the achievement of sustainable development goals.
