To provide academic leadership and foster a culture of inspiration and lifelong learning by ensuring the holistic development of educators, researchers, and educational leaders. The department is dedicated to strengthening knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes through the application of research-based practices, effective integration of technology, and continuous analysis and improvement of educational policies and practices. It also aims to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the education profession at local, national, and global levels.

The research focus of the department centers on critical issues related to the education system in Pakistan. It aims to explore, analyze, and provide solutions to challenges affecting the quality and effectiveness of education. Key areas of research include, issues in effective learning, curriculum design and development, classroom teaching practices, guidance and counselling, educational policy and reform use of technology in teaching learning process and equity and access in education etc.
