Education

The Department of Education was established in 2021 after the bifurcation of departments of Education and Sociology is dedicated to preparing future teachers who are equipped to meet the rapidly evolving educational and social needs of today’s world. Our programs B.Ed (4 years), B.Ed. (1.5 year) and B.Ed (2.5 year) are designed to equip students with critical thinking, instructional skills and a deep sense of responsibility towards nurturing young minds in diverse educational settings. We believe that educators must develop a broad worldview, cultural sensitivity, and an understanding of global challenges in order to inspire the same values in their learners.

Recognizing teaching as the backbone of a peaceful and prosperous nation, the Department of Education is equally dedicated to the wholesome development of teachers’ personalities. Our programs focus not only on academic excellence but also on moral, emotional and social growth, fostering qualities such as empathy, resilience, leadership and integrity.  Through this holistic approach, we aim to cultivate educators who are well-rounded individuals, capable of shaping future generations and sustaining the foundation of a sound, progressive educational system.
