Director’s Message
At the Directorate of ORIC, Bacha Khan University Charsadda, our primary goal is to foster a culture of innovation, research excellence, and knowledge dissemination within our institution. We firmly believe that cutting-edge research and innovation play a pivotal role in shaping the future, addressing societal challenges, and contributing to the advancement of knowledge.
Over the past years, our dedicated team of researchers, faculty, and staff has worked tirelessly to support and promote a wide range of research initiatives across various disciplines. From fundamental research to applied projects, we have witnessed remarkable breakthroughs and contributions to the academic and industrial landscape.
Our commitment to innovation extends beyond the confines of our campus. We actively seek opportunities for collaboration with industry partners, government agencies, and other academic institutions. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive support, resources, and strategic guidance to our faculty, researchers, and students. Through the facilitation of cutting-edge research, ethical practices, and innovative collaborations, we aim to advance knowledge, address local challenges, and contribute to the socio-economic development of our community and beyond. By promoting a culture of curiosity, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit, we aspire to position our university as a hub of transformative research, making a positive impact on academia, industry, and society at large.
Objectives
- Strengthening of the existing Departments through innovation and commercialization.
- To create University-Industry linkages by collaborating with a wide range of industry insight.
- Research Scholarships and Grants for students and faculty on National and International level.
- Pursue current MoUs and strive for more MoUs/MoAs that can be beneficial for the faculty members and Students as well.
- Seminars, Conferences and Workshops to be held periodically.
- Joint ventures for the promotion and usability of Research Facilities and Researchers at both ends.
- Capacity building of the staff of various Departments on regular basis to keep them up to par.
- Process will be initiated for the Incubation Centers to facilitate the staff and students of the University.
- Collaborations and MoUs at National and International level including Public and Private sector Universities.
- Promotion of Inter-Faith harmony amongst different ethnicity and religious sects in the country.
- The establishment of Research Links with other HEIs and Universities at National and International level.
- Working in close proximity with the relevant Institutions for better performance of the University.
- Safeguarding the inventions and inventors by creating Intellectual Property Rights and Patents for further promote the Research for commercialisation.

ORIC Policies
Research-related policies play a pivotal role in shaping the academic landscape of a university, providing a structured framework that guides and governs the research endeavors of its faculty and students. These policies serve as a compass, delineating ethical standards, ensuring the responsible conduct of research, and promoting transparency and integrity in scholarly activities. By addressing issues such as human and animal subjects’ welfare, research misconduct, and conflicts of interest, these policies create a foundation for a research culture grounded in ethical principles. Additionally, they facilitate the acquisition and management of research funding, outline guidelines for intellectual property, and foster collaboration both within the university community and on a global scale.
