Dr. Waqas Alam holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences and is actively engaged in research focused on drug discovery and the development of novel therapeutic agents. His expertise spans medicinal chemistry, drug synthesis, molecular docking, pharmacology, phytochemistry, and natural product research. His research primarily investigates the pharmacological potential of synthesized molecules and plant-derived bioactive compounds, with particular emphasis on their anti-inflammatory, analgesic, nephroprotective, hepatoprotective, and antidiabetic activities. He employs a multidisciplinary approach that integrates computational drug design, in vitro and in vivo pharmacological evaluations, biochemical assays, and histopathological investigations to elucidate mechanisms of action and therapeutic efficacy. His research aims to provide scientific validation for natural products and develop safer, more effective treatment strategies for chronic and inflammatory diseases, contributing to advancements in pharmaceutical sciences and evidence-based medicine.
